Foundation of the company C.Wiegand OHG - cold-rolled steel strip and metal sheet painting (Eckstein, Wuppertal).

Europe´s first Coil-Coating line for coating cold-rolled steel strip. Drying was carried out in a coal-fired tunnel oven.

Foundation of Hüsecken, Holzrichter & Co., takeover of C.Wiegand and construction of a cold rolling mill (Mählersbeck, Wuppertal) for the mass production of "metal sheet packaging".

Construction of a modern, gas-fired self-heating Coil-Coating line.

Death of the founding shareholder Heinz Becker.

Entry of the Jordan family with 50% and takeover of the management by Dr. Wolfgang Jordan. In the following years, significant investments in the cold rolling plant: continous pickling line, 3-high tandem rolling mill, skin pass mill, material testing laboratory, grinding shop for rolls and annealing line.

Construction of a second coating line.

Heinz Becker's son, Heinrich Becker, joins the company and becomes a member of the management board on 01.01.1965.

The decision is made to move away from the mass production market to high-quality coatings used for the production of roll-formed profiles and deep-drawn parts.

First coatings on aluminium coils for the building sector (roller shutter profiles, ceiling profiles).

HUEHOCO becomes the first European manufacturer of adhesive coated metal strips for bonding with PVC for co-extrusion.

Start of the first own R&D in coatings for Coil-Coating.

First European manufacturer of adhesive coated metal strips for bonding with rubber.

Relocation of the Coil-Coating lines from Mählersbeck and Eckstein to Möddinghofe, Wuppertal - today's headquarters of the Group.

Strong expansion of capacities with simultaneous turning away from the construction sector to the automotive industry with adhesive coated metal strips for metal-reinforced rubber or plastic profiles of all kinds.

Death of the managing director Dr. Wolfgang Jordan. J. Jordan -his son- joins the management board.

Development of the world-wide first ready-to-use bonding agent for a strong bond between metal and polypropylene.  

First supplier in the world to deliver butt-welded metal strips on oscillating winded spools of well over 200,000 linear metres. 

The first world-wide sale of adhesive-coated stamped part.

Takeover of a cold rolling mill and Coil-Coating plant in Bad Salzungen, Thuringia. Foundation of HFP Bandstahl GmbH.

Death of the managing director J. Jordan. Sole management by Mr. Heinrich Becker.

Renovation, modernisation and extension of rolling mills and Coi-Coating lines in Bad Salzungen.

The first world-wide sale of adhesive-coated slotted sleeve for the use of vibration damping elements on the vehicle.

Further expansion of production of rubber and FPM coatings on metal strip for cylinder head, gaskets as well as for secondary gaskets in air conditioning pumps and water pumps on vehicles.

Development and use of a highly heat-resistant paint system for radiation shields in automobile headlamps.

Mr. André Bovenkamp and Mr. C. Koslowski joined the management board of HUEHOCO.

Takeover of a Coil Coater in the USA - First American Resources Corporation, Atlanta.

Acquisition of the ACP (Advanced Carrier Products) group of companies – metal carriers for reinforcing sealing profiles on vehicles - with locations in Canada, England and France. In addition, a further ACP production is set up at the Bad Salzungen, Thuringia and Sherbrooke, Canada.

Construction of a new Coil Coating line in Bad Salzungen, Thuringia.

At the age of 65, Heinrich Becker retires from the operative management and continues to support the company with his 40 years of experience in an advisory capacity.

A next consistent step is taken with the foundation of the company for technical, individualised system solutions in surface coating. The "SIC - Solutions in Coatings", which finds a home in the old location of 1927 - the cradle of our cold rolling business.

Foundation and development of the location Brazil "HUEHOCO do Brasil".  Simultaneous takeover of the slitting and stamping strip production of "Stirofita", Sao Paoulo, Brazil. The first plant in the group with a Coil Coating line as well as lancing and stamping lines under one roof is built in Nova Odessa, Brazil.

ACP expands its locations to Wuxi, near Shanghai, China, in a joint venture with a Chinese partner.

Takeover of a stamping company near Bad Salzungen, Thuringia - "SIV - Schwinning Industrie Vertretungen". Hereby the contract business of stamping, which has taken place outside the group since 1991, is integrated into the value chain of HUEHOCO.

Establishment of a further ACP location in Aguascalientes, Mexico

The Becker family takes over the majority of the shares as of 31.12.2010. Mr. André Bovenkamp becomes managing partner.

Foundation of ACP-USA and construction of the plants at the First American site in Atlanta, USA.

Mrs. Iris Bovenkamp, daughter of Mr. Heinrich Becker joins the board of directors.

Foundation of Batchwerk - a start-up company for the production of masterbatches in the plastic sector based in Frankfurt, Germany.

Relocation of ACP-USA to Enterprise, Alabama, USA.

Foundation and establishment of "HUEHOCO China" with a Chinese joint venture partner (leading global manufacturer of brake pads).  A new Coil Coating line is built at Dongying, China (south-east of Beijing).

Takeover of toolmaker Hackbarth for the production of ACP tools.  Establishment of the own tool shop at the subsidiary in France.  Thence, the locations worldwide are now supplied with tools from ACP's own production.

Award of a grant by the Ministry of the Environment for the construction of the world's first rubber extrusion direct coating line with subsequent inline vulcanization in Wuppertal, Germany.

Relocation of the Brazilian site to its own new hall with an extended coating line.

Renaming of the holding company to "HUEHOCO GROUP Holding GmbH & Co.KG".

Groundbreaking for the new rubber extrusion line, Hölker Feld - next to the main site in Wuppertal, Germany.

Sale of a major part of the shares in Batchwerk GmbH to a strategic partner for the purpose of promoting the company's market development.
